Florida authorities have made an arrest in the mysterious shooting death of Microsoft executive Jared Bradigan, charging his ex-wife with the murder.

Arrest Made in Murder Case

Bradigan was shot to death in front of his two-year-old daughter nearly two years ago in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Prosecutors say Jared was driving home after dropping his kids off at his ex-wife's house when he stopped the car to move a tire that had been placed in the middle of the road. That's when Jared was shot several times and killed in front of his two-year-old daughter Bexley. The murder happened during an ongoing custody battle with Jared's ex-wife Shanna Gardner Fernandez.

Family Reacts to Charges

We heard from the family just moments after those charges were announced yesterday. Bradigan's widow says she knew his ex-wife was involved from the very beginning.

Protecting a Young Child

Bexley is older, she was there, she's been part of this since they decided to kill her father in front of her. I have to keep it in simple terms because she's only four. She knows that two bad guys have been put in jail and this morning I was able to tell her that who she refers to as the mean mom is going to be in jail as well.

Charges and Arrests

Shanna Gardner Fernandez was taken into custody in Washington yesterday where she now lives. She faces first-degree murder charges, conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation to commit murder, and child endangerment. Her new husband Mario Fernandez is facing similar charges. He was arrested back in May.

Accomplice Arrested

Police also arrested Henry Tenon, the man detectives say was hired to do the killing and who confessed to placing the tire in the street.

The investigation into the murder of Jared Bradigan continues as authorities work to gather more evidence and build a case against those involved.
