Two men from Nigeria charged in a sextortion scheme that led to a Michigan teen's death will be in court today. The two men were brought to the US from Nigeria Sunday in March 2022. 17-year-old Jordan Dome took his life after the FBI says the Marquette native was wrapped up in that international sextortion scheme, which is basically where someone demands money from someone by threatening to reveal their photos or any sexual activity from online. The two men are accused of using a fake Instagram of a woman to get sexually explicit pictures of that teen Jordan and then they blackmailed him. A third man has not been brought to the US yet, but they all face charges. If convicted, they could be in prison for decades, possibly life.

The court proceedings are expected to shed light on the full extent of the sextortion scheme and the roles played by the accused parties. As the legal process unfolds, the justice system will determine the appropriate actions to take against those found guilty.
