"Sweeney Todd" revival opens to rave reviews from critics

It was opening night on Broadway for Sweeney Todd, one of the biggest musicals of the season. Josh Groban and Annalie Ashford star in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's musical masterpiece. They hit the red carpet with other cast members ahead of tonight's opening. Groban is the demon barber who has a cutthroat way of getting revenge. Ashford is Mrs. Lovett, his accomplice. Tonight, some big names and entertainment were there, including actors Victor Garber and Lynn Carreux.

Both were in the original 1979 production and Carreux won the Tony as Sweeney. It's one of the greatest musicals ever written. So it's a genius work in my opinion. His work is like an aged wine. It just gets better with time. And this Sweeney Todd revival is already getting rave reviews from the critics.
