Prince Harry arrives at London court for suit against British tabloid

Prince Harry showed up in a London courtroom today for the first round of a lawsuit against a tabloid publisher. The Prince and several other celebrities claimed that the news outlet used spy tactics to gather their personal information. NBC's Kelly Kobiea has the very latest from London on this one. Kelly, good morning. Craig, good morning to you. Yeah, a surprise appearance from Prince Harry back in the UK for the first time in months and showing up here at the front entrance for the Royal Courts of Justice to sit in on the very first stages of this lawsuit against associated newspapers, the parent company of Daily Mail, Mail Online and Mail on Sunday. He ignored shouted questions from reporters instead smiling and saying good morning as he walked in.

He's one of seven people suing the newspaper group alongside the likes of Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley for what they call breaches of privacy. They claim that the newspaper group bugs their phones, bug their houses, bug their cars in order to get information for stories. The press association says Prince Harry is sitting toward the back of the courtroom occasionally taking notes, but he doesn't need to be here this week. This is a preliminary stage and the judge decides whether or not the lawsuit can go forward. Prince Harry not expected to give any evidence simply here in a support role. So the big question then where is he staying? Will he see his family? Well, the press association says his father, King Charles, is not in London or Windsor this week. And Kensington Palace says Prince William, Harry's brother and Prince William's family are all out of town for the Easter holiday.
