Sen. Reed: Next few months 'critical' for outcome of Ukraine war
Rode Island Senator Jack Reid says the war in Ukraine is approaching a pivotal moment. Senator Reid is in the midst of a week-long overseas trip with other top senators which began at the Munich Security Conference, a high-level annual meeting of defense leaders where Vice President Kamala Harris represented the Biden administration. Senator Reid says Western leaders remain united in support of Ukraine as Russia prepares a new offensive. He thinks if Ukraine holds out over the next few months, Russia may be open to negotiations. But one thing we do not want is the Russians saying time out so we can regroup and attack two or three years from now. We want to settle in which Ukraine's sovereignty is protected. Senator Reid's overseas stops include India, Pakistan and Israel.
