Is Russell Westbrook Getting Unfairly Criticized These Days or Nah? | The Rich Eisen Show

Let me tell you something about Russell Westbrook. Tell him. Talk to me. Why do people think he's just going to blow stuff up? I have no idea. Well, because he's on his fifth team in five years. Yeah, but. All right, let's go back.

Go back. Go back. So the Lakers, he didn't fit. He didn't fit. And people were wondering, how does he fit? OK, how does he fit? That wasn't his fault either. No. You know, they need to have shooters around the broad.

That's right. Obama's raining in three's. Look at what Malik, by the way, look at what Malik Beasley did last night. That was impressive. How many threes did he have? Six, seven? How many do you have last night? Look it up. Who's got him? That's what the Lakers need. The Lakers.

That's what they need. And so go back. I mean, Russ's contract was just bounced around with people thinking, you know, that he was making starters. Seven, seven threes. Seven threes. He was making, you know, A plus plus list starters money. And his game, I guess, he's not an A plus plus starter anymore in the league, but he's incredibly talented and an incredible energy guy.

What if he can just start distributing? Sounds like a winner to me. Thank you. For what I understood. Bruce Arians, what if he starts distributing a Kawhi? PG-13 makes his shots. Plus they need somebody to play on all those back to backs when Kawhi and Paul George sit. He plays. Russ plays.

He goes every game. He goes all out. Like effort is one thing that you can never question. Correct. With Russell Ressbrook. And the fact that he can still get to the hole with ease. Yes.

So all he's got to do is like just kind of stop shooting so many bad threes, work the mid-range game, drive to the bucket, kick out to the shooters. Let's go. I don't understand. Everyone is like, OK, John Wall is going to do it. And then he gets hurt. Yeah, he got hurt. Yeah.

We never really got a chance to see. Reggie Jackson. We did this thing. And then Terence man. Right. And he's just like, OK. And then he was kind of like higher registers like, hey, he's not too bad.

You got Russell Westbrook. I don't blame him for starting him. Go for it. See how it works. But what's the sign of that it doesn't work? That he takes the open looks and misses them instead of distributing it to Paul George? I think that could be a case. Is that it? What is it? That's a great question. He's hitting the side of the backboard.

Big time bricks. But that everybody sags, leaves him wide open, and he takes the bait, and he takes the shot instead of creating for the other two stars. That's that. Again, what is the method that we should front load for our viewers and listeners as to this is, quote unquote, not working? I'd like to move, man. So he's going to start tonight, huh? That's the report. Nothing confirmed. Number zero and a clipper.

Is he zero? Where number zero? OK, there you go. Who's the last clipper to wear number zero? We could do a list of clippers who turned out to be zero. Oh, man. Where do we start? Sorry. Now, the clips throughout the last 20 years have had some really good basketball players. I agree. I agree.

Isn't pool Richardson zero? Two live poo? Two live poo. OK. That was a total guess. I'll report back to you, sir. All right. Tonight, as we go, take Coop and some of his basketball friends. Enjoy that dessert, car baby.

Chicken tenders for everyone. Yeah. Catch the rich eyes and show every single day on the Roku channel, 12 to 3 Eastern for free.
