Summary:

We start with the latest on Alicia Watts investigation. Tonight the search is over. Investigators believe they found her body in Norman near the Richmond in Montgomery County line. Investigators with the more in Montgomery County Sheriff's offices are among the groups in an area of the woods that can only be seen from the air. And Alicia's boyfriend James Dunmore in handcuffs. This video from earlier today outside of his University City home showing that he's now being held at the Montgomery County jail facing a murder charge.

Alicia was last seen July 16th, leaving Dunmore's home. They were supposed to go to a comedy show at Bonejangles Coliseum. Two days later, he was found unresponsive in a car in her car at a DMV office in Anson County. And then the next day, Alicia's family reported missing after she didn't show for work. Let's go now to July 26th. That day, CMPD officers were seen searching Dunmore's home in Charlottes University City. And let's go all the way now to today. Nearly a month later, the body discovered in Montgomery County, the sheriff there speaking to media this afternoon.

This is not the outcome that we had been hoping for. But by finding Alicia today, it can bring some closure. I hope and I pray bring some closure to family and friends moving forward. WCNC Charlotte's Tradisha Wooder joins us now in the studio with reaction tonight from the community. And certainly, Tradisha, this is not the outcome anyone was hoping for. That's right. Vanessa communities are filled with heavy hearts and a family devastated.

They say it's gonna take some time to process this loss. I'm so hurt right now. An emptiness that weighs a ton. She said that it even turned out like this. Today, officials confirmed the remains of Alicia Watts, a 39 year old that went missing back in July. That's the worst news ever. A family's chance to say goodbye stolen such a monster, a prayer that time and memories heals and comfort.

We have to deal with the hurt of losing our family. They say while this wasn't the news they were hoping for, their hoping closure will allow them to move forward one day at a time. At least we know where we stand now. We don't have to be out here searching and looking and you know, things that's unnecessary. We just have the trust in God and pray. And Alicia's boyfriend James Dunmore is currently in custody of Montgomery Sheriff's office. We're told he will be appearing in court on Monday.
