Did the Commanders violate the NFL's tampering policy trying to get Andrew Luck?
Alright, did the Washington commanders violate the NFL's tampering policy? A recent ESPN article says the commanders reached out to retired Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck to see if he wanted to play again. Luck retired after just six seasons in 2019. Now, the problem is the Colts still own the rights to Luck's contract just in case he decided to come back. Now Colts owner Jim Ursay got wind of this story and whoo-hoo-hoo wasn't happy tweeting a warning that if any NFL team attempted to contact Andrew Luck, it will be a clear violation of the league's tampering policy. Now I reached out to the commanders, they said no comment. If true, the NFL could issue Washington a fine or a loss of a draft pick. Now for an example, the Miami Dolphins were caught tampering with quarterback Tom Brady and that cost them a first round draft pick.
Now I'm not saying that's going to happen here in Washington. Head Coach Romber Vera and GM Martin Mayhew have been known to follow the rules. But one thing is for sure, Colts owner Jim Ursay seems to have a thing against Washington. I mean two months ago Ursay tweeted a South Park cartoon making fun of owner Dan Snyder and was the first owner to say Mr. Snyder needs to sell the team. What's on your mind about the alleged tampering violation by the commanders? Let me know on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram at Darren M. Haynes.
Alright, check out this dude. This is Canadian hockey phenom Connor Baudard. Yep, every NHL team wants this dude. He'll likely be the number one overall pick and in tonight's NHL draft lottery, the Capitals have a 6% chance to win the number one pick. And if eight is the capital's lucky number, everything is lining up just right for Caps fans. I mean today is May 8th. The draft lottery starts at 8pm.
The Caps have the eighth best odds to win the top pick. And of course, number eight is worn by the Capitals great eight, Alex Tovechkin. By the way, the Capitals the last time they won the NHL's draft lottery was back in 2004. And guess who they drafted with the number one overall pick? Yes, sir. The great eight, Alex Tovechkin. Alright, time for my last call. LSU star and Maryland native Angel Reese continues to get paid after winning the NCAA title.
Reese will make her sports illustrated swimsuit debut in the magazine's 2023 issue later this month and peep this. In one of the photos, Reese is gesturing. Yep, mm-hmm. The ring finger is the same motion she made towards Iowa's Caitlyn Clark after LSU won the championship that just went viral. Reese has blown up in popularity since then and her NIL deal, which stands for name, image, and likeness was reportedly valued at $1.3 million. That's my last call.
She's taking advantage of every opportunity out there around that. She is getting paid. She just struck a deal with Martell these bends. Clearly she knows what she's got game, right? On and off the court. I'm gonna see what kind of game I got. Yeah, just hold on. We'll come back to you a little bit later.
