Michael J. Fox Details Journey With Parkinson's in New Film

Michael J. Fox is out promoting his new Apple TV documentary about his battle with Parkinson's. His disease is progressing and it's taking its toll, but Fox is a true hero. He is soldiering on while literally raising billions of dollars to find a cure. Here's Anne McCoggliano. A standing ovation for Michael J. Fox.

He appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark this morning and it was clear his Parkinson's disease is progressing. Medication no longer control his tremors. His speech is harder to understand. Forgive me, but I can model him. The nation first got to know Fox on the classic sitcom Family Ties. I got 18 years under this belt. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991 when he was 29 and we have observed his steady physical decline.

He's currently promoting a new documentary streaming on Apple TV Plus which details his journey with Parkinson's. How much awareness has Michael J. Fox brought to Parkinson's disease? He's really changed the way we look at it. The Michael J. Fox Foundation has raised more than two billion dollars for Parkinson's research. Yes, billions. I think when we look back, when we have a cure on for Parkinson's, we'll thank Michael J.

Fox for all the work that he did. After his interview, Kelly Ripa helped Fox stand up. Then came a hug for this real life hero.
