Yeah, and there are some big races on the ballot, including the next executive of Allegheny County. Jessica Gray joins us live this morning in Lawrenceville where voters will cast their vote. Really just a short time from now.

It's coming up here, Jess. Yeah, that's right. David and Erica voters will cast their ballots in these off year elections, but officials predict as many as 30% may show up to vote. Republican and Democratic voters will choose nominees for a host of offices, including state and local judges, county commissioners, district attorneys, county controllers, municipal officials and school directors and Allegheny County chief executive. County Democrats will nominate one of the six candidates for county executive. The winner will face Republican Joe Rocky this fall. That race has become a multi million dollar affair in an effort to reach voters.

I think canvassing door to door is still the most effective way to your point. Looking at this mail, I see people regularly in my high rise building downtown throwing all of that in the mail. You think about the sea change we've seen in the last couple of elections with Ganey with Summer Lee and now with Intermarato. That is a changing of the guard as far as how Pittsburgh sees itself. Pittsburgh works in the public opinion strategies conducted a survey of 400 likely voting Democrats. It found 32% would back representative Sarah and a Marado for the Democratic nomination for county executive Pittsburgh City Controller Michael Lamb and Allegheny County Treasurer John Weinstein were in second place with 20% and trial lawyer Dave Fossett had 8%. The polls are open from 7 a.

m. to 8 p.m. and voters in line by eight tonight will be allowed to cast their vote mail in and absentee ballots must be received by county election offices by eight tonight as well.
