ICYMI: Larson and Chastain tangle again at Darlington Raceway

Hey race fans, welcome to the Lady in Black, the historic Darlington Raceway for throwback weekend officially done. My name is Alex Weaver. I'm Mama Smith. And in case you missed it, Sunday's race added no love loss between Kyle Larson and Ross Chastain again. It is the one every time it seems like. Every time. But that's also because they're fast and they're a good team.

And we talk about wrecking your mama for a win. Not today, it's Mother's Day. I'm thinking even on Mother's Day, but like he's in the situation and that's really just hard racing at the end of this one. But that wasn't the only hard racing that we saw because Martin Triggs Jr. and guess who? Ross Chastain got into it at the end of the stage and you know for Martin, he's coming off a Dover win here recently. They have a lot of speed and like so he's just trying to get all the points now and he can take risks, but I'm sure he would have liked that. You know, his loss was end of peeing.

William Byron's gain and redemption and he had the best one of the best cars. The 1998 throwback. Yeah, the exalted gold and chrome and it was yeah, it was like it was so cool and it was fast and really and honestly William Byron. I tracked an OU one, but this race kind of owed him one after last year. No, it was redemption following that incident with he and Joey Logano that took him out of the win and out of victory lane here at Darlington in 2022. Now he's back in victory lane. The same exact race just a year later.

So redemption is spelled by RL. I like where you did that. He also was a mama mentioned that chrome illusion paint team. It was thrown back to Jeff Gordon's 1998 all star race. Jeff Gordon wasn't the only legend that was here at the racetrack today. There was so many NASCAR 75 best drivers here that were celebrating. They spent time with the fans all weekend long.

There was a luncheon today where you got to sit in the same room with the likes of Bill Elliott, Richard Petty, the Lobani brothers. Special day, special weekend for NASCAR. We guys hope you enjoyed it throwback weekend in the NASCAR Cup Series. William Byron was his third win of the season.
