San Diego's hometown hero WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio to be inducted into hall of fame

Well, a hometown hero is joining wrestling's Hall of Fame. Ray Mysterio was announced as the first inductee for WWE's 2023 Hall of Fame class. The mask wearing superstar from Chula Vista debuted in the WWE more than 20 years ago, popularizing the high flying lucha libre style of wrestling among American audiences. He's always been proud of Chula Vista. In fact, he named his signature move the 619 after the city's area code. He'll be inducted on the World Cup in the U.S.
