NTSB: Fatal May 2021 plane crash in Middle TN due to 'spatial disorientation'

Federal investigators are revealing the cause of a deadly plane crash in middle Tennessee. Back in 2021, seven people died when that plane went down. Christian Diet Guru Gwen Shamblin Lara and her husband, as well as five members of their Williamson County Church, all died. The NTSB found the pilot experienced spatial disorientation before crashing that plane into Piercy Priest Lake. The report notes the pilot likely failed to use instruments aboard to properly take off. Officers say the pilot likely thought the plane was going up when it was headed down.
