CMT Music Awards: A look at this year's Female Video of the Year nominees

And we're all gearing up for the big week ahead of the big night for country music. The CMT Music Awards this Sunday right here on CBS Texas and this year, Keith mentioning they moved from Tennessee to our own great state of Texas in Austin. And this morning we have a closer look at the female video of the year nominees. We sat down with the expert Hawkeye from New Country 96 three. Let's start off with female video of the year pretty tough category this year too. This might be Brooke, the toughest category out there because there's some just very popular artists. There's some great video, some great music.

I would be hard pressed to pick a winner, but I will tell you who I think are the top four. First of all, Kelsey Ballerini, she's hosted the show when you host the show. Yeah, there's a good chance. There's a good chance. Carrie Underwood, she's scheduled to perform when you're scheduled to perform. There's also a good chance, especially some of her statues like, yeah, you know, we'll book you to perform on our show, which will be great. And if you do, you got a better chance of winning.

I always thought that if someone's book, they got a better chance of winning, especially on some of these shows. The other two I think are really, really good chance of winning. One is Lainey Wilson, heart like a truck. Right. This is fan voted. She's red hot right now. Younger audience usually votes for the CMT awards.

So I'd say she's got a really good shot at this. And the others is Gabby Barrett, just because her song Pick Me Up was so huge and still is just a very popular song. And there was a great video also. That may also win. So that's you got that category. It's going to be very, very tough to choose. Yeah, that's going to be a tough category.

Hawkeye says that's probably going to be the toughest category. The CMT music awards, by the way, our Sunday, April 2nd are Nicole Nielsen, Nicole Baker, the Nichols holding down our coverage of the awards in Austin this week. You can catch all of it right here on CBS News, Texas.
