Biggest moments from 2023 SAG Awards l GMA

One of the final stops on the road to the Oscars, the SAG Awards. The ceremony was held overnight. Some of the big winners could be taking home another statue in a couple of weeks. Lara will be there, but right now she is here. It's a big weekend. Yes, it was, Robert. A huge weekend.

If you couldn't find the SAG Awards on TV last night, that's because they only aired on Netflix's YouTube channel. A smaller platform for sure this year, but the stakes couldn't be higher for all of the nominees as we get closer to the Oscars. And right now all of the momentum seems to be behind the zany, sweet, so weird, it's genius movie. Everything, everywhere, all at once. And the actor goes to. Everything, everywhere, all at once. Everything, everywhere, all at once was everywhere at the Screen Actors Guild Awards overnight.

On behalf of my crew of Weirdos, we appreciate your support so much for this beautiful moment, this beautiful film. Taking home not only cast in a motion picture. The producers said the Asians were not good enough and they are not box office. But look at us now, huh? Also making history, Ki Hui Kwan, the first Asian male to take home actor in a supporting role. To all those at home who are watching, who are struggling and waiting to be seen, please keep on going because the spotlight will one day find you. Jamie Lee Curtis. His co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, winning female actor in a supporting role.

The truth of the matter is I'm 64 years old and this is just amazing. Hailing her co-star, tonight's female actor in a leading role, Michelle Yeo. You say Michelle, I say Yeo. Michelle. Michelle. Speechless while accepting a reward, the first ever for an Asian woman in that category. I think if I speak, my heart will explode.

Thank you for giving me a seat at the table because so many of us need this. The movie and Oscars front runner after winning four of its five nominations. Brendan Fraser. While the best doctor race is now up in the air after Brendan Fraser beat out Elvis star Austin Butler. If you just stay in there and you put one foot in front of the other, you'll get to where you need to go. So great to see him win. Everything everywhere, of course the momentum is there, but not too late guys for Top Gun and all the other nominees.

The voting for the Oscars doesn't start until this Thursday. So perhaps there's still time to change voters minds. Also, we need to mention another big winner this weekend, Rebecca Jarvis. The show you created and executive produced the Dropout 1 for Best Limited series. Congratulations. I mean that team is such an incredible team that put together the Dropout here at ABC News and with Searchlight and Hulu and of course I missed the actual celebration because it was my daughter's kids birthday this weekend. So we rang it in at the gym, the kids gym.
