Weather Blog: Moon, Jupiter and Venus light up the night sky tonight

And so I heads up that there's a really cool show in the night sky tonight featuring the moon, the planet Jupiter and the planet Venus. Now, unfortunately, they're not going to look quite this big and quite this cool, but they will put on a really cool show if you look in the direction of the West after the sun goes down tonight to give you some perspective of what you're going to see. Why don't we kill the lights here in the studio and pretend we're outside? I'll turn my flashlight on here. So as you look in the direction of the West tonight, what you're going to find is the moon, the planet Jupiter and the planet Venus will essentially line up and become the brightest objects in the night sky. You won't be able to miss it if you look off toward the West. If you don't get the chance to watch the show tonight, though, keep watching for the next few nights, because by the first night of the month of March, looking toward the West, the planet Jupiter and the planet Venus are going to get closer and closer together, and they're going to look like two giant dots off on the night sky. You've got some great weather.

I'm sure you're going to go night sky viewing here tonight with mostly clear skies and temperatures back in the low and mid seventies. Enjoy the show and let's.
