Nipsey Hussle's killer sentenced to 60 years in prison

A judge in Los Angeles today sentenced the man convicted of shooting and killing rapper Nipsey Hussle to 60 years to life in prison. 33 year old Eric Holder Jr. was found guilty of first degree murder. The hip hop artist who was also 33 was shot outside his clothing store in 2019. The two men knew each other as aspiring rappers growing up in South LA. In an impact statement, a close friend of the rapper said that the loss of Hussle and his popular marathon clothing store was a blow for South LA. Everything we built got tore down.

One man's mistake, one man's action messed up a whole community. Our whole community is suffering to this day. These kids don't have nowhere to go. The defense had asked for a lesser sentence saying that Holder suffered years of mental illness including hallucinations and that he has already been attacked in jail.
