Brittney Griner signs 1-year deal with Phoenix Mercury, reports say

WNBA star Brittany Griner returning to the court after signing a one-year contract with the Phoenix Mercury. The last time she suited up for the team was in 2021. She missed the season last year while being detained for 10 months in Russia. Griner, who also played professional basketball in Russia, was arrested last February for carrying vape canisters containing cannabis oil. The U.S. declared she was wrongly detained.
