Summary:

Former President Donald Trump hit the campaign trail days after his latest indictment. A rolling tide of support in Alabama for former President Donald Trump as he hits the campaign trail for the first time since his third criminal arraignment. In Montgomery Friday night, Trump, who is still crushing his GOP rivals in the polls and the money race, called the indictments a badge of honor. And last night he scored the backing of the entire Republican U.S. House delegation in the deep South State. Also on Friday, Trump entered his second not guilty plea to the latest classified documents, charges, and waived his appearance for an arraignment. Christina Ruffini is in our nation's capital.

Justice Department Seeks Protective Order

Christina, good morning. Good morning, Michelle. Well, last night, Justice Department asked the judge in the January 6 case against Trump for what's called a protective order that would ban him from speaking publicly or posting on social media evidence from that case before the trial. They pointed specifically to this social media post, where Trump says, if you come after me, I'll come after you. And voiced concerns that the former president could start going after witnesses or other court officials based off the evidence they're going to give him before trial, and it could have a chilling effect on those proceedings. Less than 24 hours after being reigned on charges, he tried to overturn the 2020 election. They want to take away my freedom because I will never let them take away your freedom.

Christina, thank you very much.
