Two convictions overturned by Appeals Court in college admissions scandal



At the top here at 8, two college admissions scandal, guilty verdicts thrown out. A federal appeals court wiped clean most of the convictions for equity firm leader and Linfield resident, John Wilson. Casino executive Gamal Aziz's conviction also thrown out. The appeals court ruled that the judge in the case incorrectly told jurors that they should consider admission slots as property. The court also found the prosecutors did not prove the two knew about the broader admissions scandal scheme.
