Summer travel: Better start booking

Summer is almost here, which means if you haven't started planning your vacation, you better do it pretty soon. According to AAA's newest report, large crowds are already booking flights and cruises. 83% of Floridians will travel this year. More than half of them will take a summer vacation. However, only a quarter of summer travelers have actually finalized their plans. So the most popular vacations are beach destinations, theme parks, popular cities like Miami, resorts as well, and state parks. 87% plan to take a road trip, so keep that in mind.

A quarter of summer travelers plan to take a flight. 21% plan to go on a cruise. And 38% will rent a car. So if you are planning to hit the road this summer, plan to leave early.
