Migrants bussed from Eagle Pass to Houston ahead of Title 42 ending



Right now the first load of migrants from Eagle Pass this week are settling in at this temporary private shelter on the north side. Tomorrow more will arrive at this location and today we listened to heartfelt challenging real first-hand accounts of their journey here. The jungle is practically very strong. Many people who have come, many citizens who stayed behind, many citizens who have already crossed. Traveling by foot with his family he said they witnessed a lot of bodies on their eight-month trek from Venezuela to the border. Some staying here say they fled to the US because they were desperate to make more money in order to survive. They come out of the country because they don't have how to feed their family.

There are people who come with four, five, six children. Why? Because in Venezuela they don't have the base to feed their family. Catholic Charities provides migrants with a roof over their heads, food, clothing and toiletries before they head on to a more permanent location. As for how these migrants got here, the group says they've been processed by Border Patrol and allowed to stay in the US for now. My final destination is to arrive in Orlando, Florida with my two brothers. I have two brothers and a cousin. They are the ones who were supporting me.
