Meteorite crashes through roof of New Jersey house

Over the weekend, people here on Earth saw a regular meteor shower. Those meteors come from the Earth passing through debris that's left by Hailey's Comet. Most of them burn up in the atmosphere, but this week a larger chunk got caught up in the Earth's gravity. It fell all the way to a town in New Jersey where it went right through the roof of a house. From there, it proceeded to the floor. You see it here where it created both a divot in the hardwood and eventually a very confused family. No one was home when this happened, but they say the metallic object was still warm by the time they finally got up the nerve to touch it.

They initially thought the rock had been thrown in, but there is a hole in the ceiling, and that told them it was likely a meteorite. They plan to meet with an astrophysicist for further information. The gift from the heavens is potato-ish in shape, about 4 inches by 6 inches, and it weighs about 4 pounds. Hazmat officials did check out the house in case they had been exposed to some type of radioactive material, but those checks were all negative.
