GM recalls 1 million SUVs over defect that could cause air bag to rupture

Tonight, an important consumer alert. General Motors is recalling nearly one million SUVs because the driver's airbag inflator could explode during deployment. The recall covers the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia from the 2014 through 2017 model years. The company says it will replace airbag devices in the recalled vehicles. It's part of a recall demanded by U.S. regulators of 67 million airbag inflators involving multiple car companies.
