Celtics fans frustrated after Game 5 loss to 76ers

continues now with Ken McLeod live outside of the Garden Forest and Ken painful loss for the fans who were even booing at times and we're hoping it's not the last game of the season at the TD Garden. Well David as good as the Celtics and Bruins have been this season the thought of not having mid-May games here at the Garden is pretty tough to swallow but tonight was certainly an inopportune time for the Celtics to lay an egg. With the Celtics in a fourth quarter death spiral fans poured out of the Garden early and this youngster nailed it. It was like bad. Bad indeed. I felt like they had no energy tonight you know I just the shots weren't going in and just disappointing. The Celtics trailed from the opening tip and the Garden crowd booed the home team several times as the C's struggled through one of their coldest shooting performances of the entire season.

It was tough they just couldn't hit shots you know they had lots of opportunities I feel like and they just couldn't couldn't put it in. Before the game the green mob was brimming with confidence as they streamed up the Causeway Street escalator. They went by 10 tonight I think game five we'll swing it back and out Fava we'll take it home the game six as well. This guy was praying for a last-minute seat but probably wound up watching from a nearby bar stool as pub owners hope tonight wasn't the season's last playoff game at the Garden. It's massively important for us this neighborhood like I said anytime there's an event or game going on there can be over 20,000 people in the neighborhood and that's giant revenue for places such as this but for those fan dollars to keep flowing the Celtics have to win Thursday in Philly to force a game seven back here Sunday and on Causeway Street even a bad loss doesn't seem to stomp out optimism cancel your mother's day plans on Sunday because game sevens taking place here. Normally fans might go to a nearby watering hole in this case to drown their sorrows but judging from the way the crowds here have thinned out very quickly the disgusted faithful have apparently skipped that step tonight. Live outside the garden Ken MacLeod WBZ News where they're doing it at home.

Ken MacLeod. Thank you.
