Witness, retired FBI agent discuss raid leading to arrests of men accused of selling technology t...

two area men are in jail tonight accused of selling technology to Russia this after an FBI raid at the new century air center in the Gardner area today. K and B tonight's Brian Johnson is latest live with the latest that is on what we are learning tonight. Brian. Yeah, Chris tonight scene is very quiet. We're at the building where the FBI raided in the building is mostly unmarked except for the 5 60 on that door there. Witnesses who are in the area say police were here much of the day gathering evidence and arresting the two men. These photos show police vehicles outside a hanger at the new century airport.

This is what guys jumped out. They threw two to three flash bangs. One witness who saw the raid asked that we not show his face. He says police got on a PA system asking everyone to exit the building. The agents were there most of the day. It's crazy. It's a small airport.

Just normal hanger. No markings. The Justice Department says Cyril Boyanovsky of Lawrence and Douglas Robertson of Aletha owned the business. It's called can Russ Trading Company. The two are charged with conspiracy exporting controlled goods without a license and other crimes. Court documents say they provided Western avionics equipment to Russian companies using fraudulent invoices and shipping the items through countries like Armenia and Cyprus. What stands out is normally what's behind most criminal actions is greed.

They wanted to make money and they wanted to let a little thing like federal law stand in their way. Michael Tabman has retired FBI. The Justice Department says the shipments continued even after Russia invaded Ukraine last year. You take an investigation step by step and you have to always weigh when do we take it down to make the strongest case verse. What are we risking by letting it continue? The US government detained some of the shipments. Well done by the FBI. Good job in Gardner.

Brian Johnson.
