Utility crews working around the clock to restore power after nor'easter

And even just to get out here, you guys was very difficult for us. There were trees down on wires, live wires in the roadway. So that was a challenge to even get out here to Hillsborough tonight. And while for the most part, a lot of the snow is cleaned up, a lot of a few different parts of the state remain still untouched tonight. And the work to restore power is still well underway. It's brutal, it's brutal. We, they're just trying to get around town right now.

They're starting to get it cleaned up now, but the trees are down all over the place. Trees down, power out, and crews working around the clock to get the lights back on. Out in Emma Blake, we had to keep, we go one way and we had to turn around and go back the other way, and turn around and go back the other way, because everything was shut down. And a lot of people I know have no power. Eversource says the downed trees and power lines have proven to be problematic in getting the lights back on in a timely manner. Southwestern part of the state really got battered as forecast. We have over 30 inches of snow.

We've been working on about 240 block roads across the state. Tens of thousands are still without power in New Hampshire tonight, but the numbers are dropping by the hour. Eversource says everyone won't be restored for another couple of days. We'll be pushing out specific ETRs for each one of our customers, because we'll continue to restore today, tomorrow, and the last customers will be restored on Friday. But many are hoping the lights come back on sooner than that. Hoping everybody makes it through our right and gets cleaned up. Now, luckily, the story for a lot of parking lots and roads out there, they are all clear.

The snow is all cleaned up, but the trees and the wires, it's going to take a little bit more time to get that all sorted out and crews again, working around the clock to get that done. Now, if you're an Eversource customer and you want to learn the restoration time for your neighborhood, you can log on to their website or give them a call. We're live in Hillsborough tonight, Marisa Tancino, WMUR News 9.
