Texas Tech men's basketball coach suspended over 'racially insensitive comment' to player
Texas Tech suspended its men's basketball coach just days before the Big 12 tournament for a racially insensitive comment. University officials say head coach Mark Adams was encouraging one of the players to be more receptive of coaching. To make his point, he used a Bible verse about slaves serving their masters. The school says Adams apologized to his entire team and leaders are now doing a more thorough review. Tech is set to play West Virginia in the conference tournament on Wednesday.
