News Anchor Continues During Earthquake

A Pakistani news anchor continued delivering the day's top stories as an earthquake rocked the nation. Other employees can be seen walking behind the anchor, presumably heading toward safety. Outside the studio, a 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck both Pakistan and neighboring Afghanistan. Trimmers were felt more than 600 miles away from the epicenter according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center. The US Geological Survey says the quake was felt over a wide area because it began very deep, 116 miles below the Earth's surface. At least 10 deaths have been reported in Afghanistan due to this earthquake and at least 9 more in Pakistan.

Authorities in both countries say children are among the dead. The number of casualties and injuries are expected to rise as rescue efforts are now underway. This is Inside Edition Digital.
