At least 3 dead in mass shooting at Michigan State University

It's terrifying man. It really is. We don't we don't know what to do at all. We ran out is terrifying. It's pretty scary. Well, we are covering breaking news this morning after a mass shooting another one. And this time it is rocking Michigan State University.

Now we kept you updated throughout the night with the CBS Pittsburgh app as we learn new details coming in from Michigan and our Jessica Gway joining us live in the studio with what we know right now. Obviously this is developing a minute by the minute here, but what can you tell us? Now we know a lone suspected shooter went on a deadly rampage through Michigan State University last night. At least three people were killed and another five victims were critically injured. Police say the suspect was a 43 year old man who had no affiliation with the school. They say he shot and killed himself as he was confronted by police off campus and nearby Lansing. Police found the victims in an academic building and a student union. State, local and federal officers responded to the shooting in a neighborhood after eight last night.

The FBI says it's assisting the investigation as authorities work around the clock to determine a motive. Police swarmed the campus within minutes of the first reports of an active shooter. For people on campus, please do not come to campus. I can't say that enough. We were there locked in the rooms and the guys were telling us to run out the back door as quick as we can and run for our lives and I sprinted out there as fast as I can into the woods. A shelter in place order has been lifted for students and the surrounding community and the two buildings at the center of the shootings on campus are now accessible to the public during business hours. All campus activities, including sporting events, are suspended for at least the next two days.

At this point, police are not identifying the suspects in the attack out of respect for the families. We will monitor the situation in Michigan and bring you any updates you receive David. Alright, thank you for the latest there. But.
