Sheriff Marcelino will hear in the woodlands. It is 100 plus degrees right now. So very hot in here. We're told that about 6000 people are expected to come out for the outdoor concerts that are beginning actually in a few minutes. Now take a look. The gates here opened about an hour ago and it was just last night. We're at this very venue last night.

35 people were treated for heat-related illnesses during Snoop Dogg show. According to health officials, 16 of them were adults taken to area hospitals for additional treatment and they were stable. Now we're told it was sold out. So about 15,000 people were here last night and so they are taking some precautions for folks tonight and just Friday night, 38 Prairie View A&M students were also treated for heat exhaustion at the end of a week-long orientation event again here at the Woodlands Mitchell Pavilion. They also have refill stations. They have lots of options for people. They can bring their own water bottles.

They have a lounge that's open to everyone with AC and they're also encouraging everyone to make sure that you're eating and drinking enough water. We're told that they're partnering with the health department and other agencies as well. So the heat is certainly not something to take lightly. If you do plan on coming out tonight, make sure that you are staying hydrated and make sure that you are staying safe. Life in the Woodlands, Maria Aguilera, KHOU 11 News.
