Russia and Ukraine are accusing each other of launching a new wave of drone attacks overnight. Ukraine claims responsibility for targeting more of its ports in the Odessa region, including a terror attack in Moscow. Meanwhile, Russia states that 17 Ukrainian drones were launched in Crimea.

In the Odessa region, Ukraine reports that Russia's drone attacks have targeted its ports along the Danube River, resulting in six people wounded, damage to several storage tanks, and the destruction of a grain hangar. In Moscow, the Defense Ministry intercepts two drones in a central location, near the Kremlin, and another location in the southern part of the city, causing damage to a non-residential building.

The attacks in Crimea have led to the destruction of an ammunition depot and a house, with residents being evacuated from a five-kilometer radius. This escalation follows a week of Russian strikes on Odessa, prompting the Ukrainian digital transformation minister to accuse Russia of electronic warfare and claim that air defenses are becoming less capable of protecting the skies from drones.

Simultaneously, Russia attempts to disrupt grain infrastructure in the Danube ports, seen as their Plan B after Black Sea ports. Putin's claim that Russia can replace lost grain from other sources aims to mitigate the impact of canceling the grain deal on their allies in Africa, which has been crucial for their food supply.

The situation remains tense, with the US Secretary of State asserting that Ukraine has already recaptured about half of the territory Russia seized at the start of the invasion. Blinken believes Ukrainian forces, equipped and supported by more than 50 countries, will continue their counteroffensive to reclaim more land, but acknowledges the challenges they face against strong Russian defenses. Additionally, Ukraine is expected to receive US-made F-16 fighter jets to bolster its capabilities, although operational readiness may take several months.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine shows no signs of abating, with drone attacks and territorial disputes escalating. The international community continues to closely monitor the situation as both sides maneuver to gain an advantage.
