New generation of hurricane-tracking satellites launch

A new technology should help better track hurricanes in the future, but first, in a series of miniature satellites launched into orbit last night. These new satellites will deliver weather information on a faster, basic basis than the current technology, which should weather scientists improve their forecast, or should help them improve their forecast for hurricanes. Another launch of satellites is scheduled for later this month.
