Liverpool gets ready for Eurovision Song Contest

I've been to eight Eurovision Song Contests, both working and as a fan, and I can honestly say I've never seen a city embrace Eurovision as much as Liverpool. It runs through the whole of the city. Every pub, every shop, every bar has the Ukrainian flag. What is so wonderful about this Eurovision is because the United Kingdom is hosting on behalf of Ukraine, they've really taken that on board and Ukraine just flows throughout the whole city. I think Eurovision now is becoming a global launchpad for careers. You saw it with Monoskin a couple of years ago and you saw it with Sam Ryder. But also last year a girl called Rosa Lynn who represented Armenia came in 20th position and she went on to have one of the biggest songs of the year in Snap and is now opening for Ed Sheeran.

So people know the value of staying on that stage, stepping on that stage to 160 million people knowing that they could go huge.
