Jonas Brothers talk having fans from different generations

I don't know are they still lining up? We are back now with a trio of superstars a Grammy nominated band of brothers Dylan from your neck of the woods from New Jersey. You're right their songs have been streamed more than 13 billion times with a B. Jonas Brothers are releasing their brand new album it is called The Album. Appropriately titled and they are here with us in studio one-eight to celebrate the album release. The tour that's about to start celebrating all of it. Joe, Kevin, good to have you back. Thank you for having me.

Your fans every time I see your fans they are so rabid. A lot of them have been following you for more than a decade now. I mean love everything you put out and it doesn't seem like it's lost on you after all these years either. It's not. I mean they're also really nice. They are. A lot of fandoms can be very.

They don't let people into the fan. Our fans embrace new people and we've seen a crazy jump where coming back now after a couple years of the last album, people that were bringing their kids to shows and they were in their teens are now coming with their child who's 30 plus and their kids so it's hitting a bunch of different generations and it just lights us up because it's why we do what we do and it's kind of a parallel track to what we're on. I love it. Well your new album is out. You've described it as a window into your lies. What are you revealing? What's in the window if we look? Well you know we're meeting each other at the same place in our lives emotionally, personally. I mean we're all parents now.

As brothers I think it's quite nice for us to kind of say alright we all want to get home as quick as possible after a long run. And you all understand that? Yeah we understand that and I think we're just looking forward to now that this album's out getting on the tour and playing these new songs it just feels like a dream come true all over again. I love that. So you mentioned it, the tour. Talk about the album now you've got the tour. It kicks off with back to back nights at Yankee Stadium. So what are y'all dreaming up? Well as die-hard lifelong Yankees fans.

Jurgie this is a pretty big moment for us. We did Five Nights on Broadway and we basically picked a different album from our discography for each night. And then we said okay Yankees let's just do one show five albums one night which was an ambitious task but we're put together now it's gonna be a lot of fun and we just basically said let's just do the whole tour that way. So we kick off as you said at Yankees and we're gonna go across the U.S. and I think we're gonna add a few more cities in that we're gonna get to the first round. But we couldn't be more excited.

It feels like the celebration of the journey that brought us here now and the album coming out today is the sort of culmination of that journey. I'm Jonas Brothers Instagram account. There's a nice throwback photo of the three of you when you were little. I've got, look at how cute this is. It's Mother's Day weekend. Happy Mother's Day mom. I've got three little boys and I watched them at this age and wonder what they're going to be.

What were you guys like back then? What was your dynamic like? We just were having fun. We were outside till the sun came and went down. That was what it's all about. But I think for us we grew up in a musical family. We did. Our dad's an incredible singer. We got it kind of all from him I think.

But we're just happy to be doing this now but looking back on things we got really lucky. Two amazing parents that really believed in us and believed in our dream and kind of gave up everything just to make it happen. Clearly, yeah. Clearly, I think it worked out. Your parents did something right. Yeah. You mentioned it.

It's Mother's Day. It's Mother's Day. Mom, Mother, Happy Mother's Day. You love Kenya. Love you mom. And you're all dads. You guys have plans to celebrate your wives.

Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Can't give any spoilers. Yeah. Just give us a hint. Just write on there. There are all the things I planned.

There's gotta be a classic brunch. So that's what, you know, I already have that planned. Okay. You're pretty good cook. You hate me? No, no, I will not be cooking. That would not be a mother's day. That would not be a gift.

That would be the honor of the word. I'll look at these pictures. I know. Nick in your house. Are you not the cook, are you? I am not. I can make eggs. Okay.

I mean, it's important. I mean, that's an important skill. I know. I love it. Creatively, when you talk about the Jonas Brothers now, where do you think you're headed? Well, I think that one of the things we've been talking a lot about is just staying in the flow of making new music and constantly releasing new music. We were going to do that. What the happiness begins album rolls straight into something else, but obviously a lot of things happened over the last couple of years.

And so it was important to kind of take a beat to figure out exactly what we wanted to say and where we were at. But now I think we're ready to just keep it rolling. So we're going to be back in the studio soon. And as far as where we're going creatively, that's part of the fun. It's just figuring it out on the go and leaning into, as I mentioned before, we started talking on the air, the music that Joe shows us each week. He's our New Music Friday specialist. Wait, I did not know this every Friday.

Do we know this? I mean, most good music. Yeah, all the new music drops into your room this morning. You were already sifting through and picking your favorites for sure. I love that. So who did you play this Friday? This Friday. Oh, this Friday? Oh, there's just a lot of good stuff. Us.

I believe, yeah, the Jonas Brothers dropping out. Yeah, it was pretty good. Nick, Kevin, Joe, we love you guys. Thank you for that. Always a happy song. Light up the studio.
