Hyundai and Kia thefts keep rising despite security fix

this morning for Hyundai and key owners listen up over the winter the automakers released a fix designed to stop a wave of thefts targeting their cars but now it appears those fixes aren't working the associated press says despite efforts to repair the glitch thefts continue to grow the problem is that many of the lower price vehicles don't have a special chip that works with the key to prevent theft so both companies say they're working to fix that problem.
