Preparations are underway at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for another big NASCAR weekend

Start out in Speedway where I got a glimpse of all the preparations underway and caught up with some fans. We've been out here for 29 years. Merchandise salesman Jody Reynolds says he is getting ready to sell a whole lot of t-shirts, hats and racing souvenirs this NASCAR weekend. We'll be here probably 10 to 12 hours just getting ready to open tomorrow. He says it's going to be a big weekend, especially for one of his favorites. For eight hats. Sales should be really good. He's a well-known person out here. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be packed with fans for several races ending with the big Pennzoil 400 on Sunday. The races attracting people from all over the country. Idaho falls out of. We're from La Grande, Oregon and we're here for the race. From the stands to the infield, crews are getting it all set up for the first day on Friday.

There's a lot of excitement out here. We've got three great days of racing coming up. Las Vegas Motor Speedway president Chris Powell says the Pennzoil 400 will be a weekend full of festivities for fans. NASCAR in Las Vegas, they not only get great NASCAR racing on our mile and a half oval, but they also get everything that our town has to offer. The weekend attracts thousands and those people will be spending a lot of money. Larry Graves and his wife are here for two weeks. We go gamble a little bit and we've been out to Red Rock.
