breaking this morning, Southwest Airlines alerted our newsroom overnight about an air scare involving a flight coming to Columbus. The airline said a flight leaving Las Vegas last night had to turn around on the way to see a match because the pilot needed some medical attention. Southwest said the flight landed safely and an alternate crew boarded the flight to resume operations back to Columbus to the airport. The airline said they're planning to launch a new flight in the state of Maryland.
