Fans storm the court at Viejas Arena watch party as SDSU defeats No. 1 seed Alabama

News madness indeed. The San Diego State Aztecs just took down the number one overall seed in the NCAA tournament. Thank you so much for joining us. I'm Lindsay Pena. ABC 10 News reporter Ryan Hill is joining us live from VA Huss Arena. Ryan, I cannot even imagine how electric it is there. I have my hat too.

All ready to go. Lindsay, rackets be damned. Alabama has been upset by San Diego State. The fans are going crazy. They stormed the court here at the A-Huss Arena. This was an insane time. The fans were high, they were low.

They clawed back as San Diego State upset Alabama to advance to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history. The fans were cheering them on. This really had like a home game atmosphere with the team being all the way in Louisville, Kentucky for the Sweet 16. It's madness. People have stormed the court. They're cheering on their Aztecs, being very, very excited for that Elite Eight game on Sunday. Now there were people here at the A-Huss Arena.

There were also some folks over in Miramar celebrating it. I mean, you can just see all the people here who are so excited to see their Aztecs advance to the Elite Eight. And now, like you were saying, Lindsay, it's madness. A lot of people are hoping that they advance to the Final Four. There are a lot of people at different watch parties here. You can just see the excitement. And let's hear from some of those folks as folks are at the live parties.

It's really cool to see this team come together and just kind of put things together and make a run in the tournament. I mean, March Madness is one of the coolest sporting events of the year. And to see a team that you're back in kind of make a run like this has been really exciting. There's nothing better than this. This is one of my favorite sports. March Madness, you can't beat it. A lot of people are saying Alabama Who right now.
