NBA All-Star Weekend: Kevin Huerter struggles in 3-point contest, more

Welcome back in. Well, day two of NBA All-Star Week and delivered no shortage of thrills, unpredictable outcomes and legends being made. But there is one person who would like to forget this night altogether, King Sharp shooter Kevin Herter. Kevin Herter entered tonight's contest as one of the best three-point shooters on the planet. When speaking to him earlier today, Kevin told me he quote, thinks he's the best shooter in the league. And while that may be true, he definitely wasn't the best shooter Saturday night. From the get-go he struggled and he never quite found his groove.

In fact, he had just one point entering the third rack. And by the time he finished, Red Velvet had just eight points, which left him in last place, dead last. Meanwhile, former King Tyrese Halliburton ties the record in the first round with 31 points and his teammate and former King Buddy Hill dropped 23 points in the first round. Both of them advanced to the final round, but it would be Damian Lillard who took home the championship, much to the delight of fans at Vivint Arena. Now, keep in mind, Lillard attended close by Weber State and received a hometown welcome. Here's Kevin Herter after that disappointing performance. For me, I wish I played obviously shot better, but life goes on to move on to the next thing.

There's more important things coming up. I have two words for you. Mac McClung. If you don't know, now you know. The 6'2", two-way player from the 76ers organization put on a performance Saturday night that would make Vince Carter look amateur. McClung received a 50 on all of his dunks except one and set the roof on fire inside the arena. McClung, this year's winner of the dunk contest, and it's safe to say a star was born tonight.

Now, what goes without saying that this year's Keeg steam and the beam has captivated fans all across the country and that includes former Kings players, buddy held at Tyrese Halliburton. What is the one thing you miss about Sacrifice? All the fans, the fans, love from the fans for sure. It's still there, it always will be there, but just the energy that those fans bring, it's amazing, so that's for sure. The beam is fire, the beam is fire. I hate to see it because I'm not there, but I rock with it. What do you miss the most about Sacramento? I miss the most about Sacramento? I just go into the games in the fan base, you know, the fan base is one of the best fan base in the league. What do you think about the beam? Any reaction to that this year? Oh, this is a great slogan, like the beam.

I think it's cool.
