'He Thinks That's A Bragging Point?': Biden Line In State Of The Union Slammed By Markwayne Mullin
Hey guys, we're wrapping up a week in Washington DC which a lot of people up here call the Super Bowl of Politics. That's because the President of the United States delivers the State of the Union and I got to tell you that was one of the hardest speeches that I've ever had a set through and I mean set through. You have a President up there that he tried to spin things that just aren't true. He talked he tries talking about the greatest economy that we've seen in recent years but yet we have an economy that when he took over was at 1.4 percent inflation is at 13.5 percent inflation. He talks about gas prices coming up and coming down but yet there's still a dollar a gallon on average higher than the day that he went into office.
But he doesn't talk about the failures he wants to try making this spin because he's trying to relate to the American people. But how out of touch is he? He thinks it's a bragging point. You hurt him if you paid attention to the State of the Union saying that he was a longest-serving person in the body. Meaning he's been in Congress he's been in Washington DC a longer than anybody else and he thinks that's a bragging point because he's been up here for some 44 years. Guys this is what's wrong with career politicians. They have no idea what the truth is because they don't live in reality. Washington DC this is not reality.
Reality is back home. Reality is out there working each day trying to make a paycheck. He talks about he've created 12 million jobs. Washington DC doesn't create jobs. Those 12 million jobs are trying to survive out of an economy that's right because of his policies and job creators, entrepreneurs are trying to figure out how to navigate it. Our job as elected officials his job as a president of the United States is to create an environment for job creators, entrepreneurs to go create those jobs. As soon as we start batting ourselves on the back saying that we did something we've lost it and right now we've got a president that's lost it.
Thank you for the opportunity to fight for us here in Washington DC. May God bless you and may God bless United States of America.
Sen. Markwayne Mullin, President Biden, Republicans
