A reimagined 'Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey' show returns

Wow, an exciting announcement from the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey. Get ready to see the greatest show on Earth. I thought we had a circus here on Good Day New York, but now we're talking the real circus is coming back to town. Isn't that the true throw? It is back and better than ever. And really reimagined here. Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey is back. And it's really exciting because in the past, of course, everyone loved the animals that were part of the show.

Now, no more animals, but it's an American classic for over 100 years. And now the greatest show on Earth. It returns with a bit of a twist. The greatest show on Earth is back after Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey have searched the world with live auditions for the most spectacular artists. With 75 performers from 18 countries, you'll see high-flying aerial performers, acrobatics, BMX, a triangle, high wire, 4D trapeze, and never-before-seen acts. It's just a remarkable honor to get to carry forward the tradition, the legacies of Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey to a new generation of fans and to my family and my kids and get to share it with them. It's just such an honor.

Juliette Feldgrosman is a third-generation member of the Feld Entertainment family and is heading up the reimagined experience. And as you can see through these immersive renderings and one-inch scale model, just how dynamic the show will actually be. The audience will surround the stage with live immersive video of fans being integrated throughout the story, making you part of the greatest show on Earth. We incorporate a live technology, but it's all about connecting the audience, not creating distance. So our performers are actually elevated by the video content here so that you can get close-ups, you can see their facial expression, their details, stepping across a wire. And all of these things that you've never seen before in a really new, unique way. And those performers shimmer with dazzling costumes with born-made detail like Lauren, who sings in Guy's audiences through the show.

Part of the fun of being in the Ringling Brothers show is the beautiful costumes which we see here behind us, but we're seeing the prototype. Lauren's prototype right next to us, so talk to us about the fit. Okay, so the fit may look like it doesn't have a lot of color yet, but I understand that this is the pattern. So this is the beginning of the process and I know we've been working a lot together with deciding on my favorite color. I'm wearing my favorite color, which is yellow today. I love it. So thank you very much.

And so I'm just excited to see what will be added to this, but I know that this is kind of, think of it as the skeleton of what's to come. For many performers like Yann, this is a dream to be in the Ringling show. It's really exciting that we're here with the reinvented greatest show on earth. I'm a circus performer that has been touring, making people gasp, making people laugh, with tentative shows, with theater shows, in theme parks all over the world. This is my first time with Ringling. I'm really excited. The role I have in the show is a comic character and I also do a balancing act called Rolla Bola.

First step, you're going to step on the downside, step on the top side. You got to commit. You got to lean in, okay? Yann was preparing me for my audition. Okay, we didn't commit, but take two. Take two, Yann. We got this. Let me get it.

Okay, I'm ready. Whoa! Yeah, look at that. So graceful and coordinated. Spot from the sweater. Slide to the left. And present. So, I don't know if I quite made the cut, but the reimagined Ringling brothers and Barnum and Bailey start rehearsals this summer and then we can expect the greatest show on earth in New York City next spring.

Wow, wow. We should say the second greatest show on earth in New York City, second to Good Day New York. Absolutely. We just have to clarify. Sorry, Ringling brothers, we still love you. So, I did notice there weren't any animals. No animals, which you had talked about in the past, how they used to sort of walk them through the tunnel and that's part of the reimagining.

We used to walk them through the tunnel and then sometimes outside Good Day New York. Which is crazy. On the sidewalk, the people who lived in this area were like, what are they doing now at Good Day? Yeah, thankfully no more elephants, not in the room, but on the sidewalk outside of Good Day. So, no more animals, but it's really focused on the fans. They found talent from all around the world and they're really immersing the fans. So, when you're there as a family, your video, your face will actually be part of the show. You're kind of involved in the story.

But again, next spring, so we got some time to wait for this, but it's fun for so many families who have been yearning for the circus to come by. Oh, yeah. Good childhood memories. Yeah, and it makes you feel like a clown a little bit, you know? Not you, I mean me. Okay, good. Just had to clarify. Thank you for clarifying that.
