UN calls on Russian troops to leave Ukraine on eve of invasion anniversary



President Biden will meet virtually with the G7 leaders and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky tomorrow, exactly one year since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. One year ago tonight Russian troops were preparing to cross Ukraine's border. Russian President Vladimir Putin expecting a quick victory but the people of Ukraine backed by the US and NATO allies are still fighting back and tonight skylines across the world are lit up in blue and yellow signaling the unity with Ukraine. Ukraine is now bracing for a potential surge in Russian attacks as we pass the one-year mark since the invasion and tonight back here at home members of the group Northwestern for Ukraine hosted a vigil on campus to mark the one year since the start of the war.
