Longtime leader of American Airlines steps down as chairman

It is the end of an era in Fort Worth as Doug Parker is leaving American Airlines entirely. Last year Parker retired as CEO but stayed on as chairman of the board. He'll retire from the board of directors at the end of April. Greg Smith will become the airline's new chairman. He joined the board last year after a long career at Boeing.
