HBCU Legacy Bowl Day 2 Recap 2/23/2023

Day two of the HBCU Legacy Bowl practices are Thursday here at Yolman Stadium. Players are able to get back on the field with their coaches, get a little more comfortable with that what they're going to run on Saturday at the actual HBCU Legacy Bowl. Some of the players that we've talked to are from local Louisiana schools and Southern University in Grambling State. There's about eight players out of both of those areas. They're really excited about their opportunity here this week and getting on the field with each other. Being able to play football again and my last game it's not my last game I get another one in. Being out here with all these guys meeting new people from all over the SWAC all HBCU is a great opportunity and the coaches though it's just everything it's a great opportunity really.

Joining quarterback Glendon McDaniel is his teammate defensive back Cory on Harris. Harris was a four-star recruit went to Kansas to start out his collegiate career and then ended up at Southern University. He's really enjoying the ability to learn some of the rules at the NFL level. It's something that they've talked about here at these practices. Some of the Tennessee that you probably used to in college you got to feel a little weird but I think after a couple of days the muscle memory will be there. Friday's practices are going to be more of a walkthrough as the players get ready for the game Saturday. It is at three o'clock here at Yolman Stadium.

You can watch it on the NFL Network or you can come just go to hbculegacybowl.com for tickets.
