Five people shot, one fatally at New Orleans Mardi Gras parade

Bring your fluffy bangs. I'm going to go back to the first floor. Yesterday and on Saturday I walked the parade route and the car the crowds were festive. Everyone was having a good time. This is a really family fun and friendly event and every the crowds were really, really heavy and we were excited about the crowd. We had a lot of people out there in force. Everybody doing a good job of being visible and engaging with the crowds out there.

We had no problems until this incident happened and we do not want another incident like this to spoil the rest of our Mardi Gras season. We want to ensure everybody we're doing everything that we possibly can to make sure that their safety is paramount and that we're doing something beneficial.
